It's a new concept from an established team - Friendship Travel, which has been arranging holidays for single travellers for 12 years. Those holidays are just for adults and every year we have had to turn down pleas from single parents to 'bring the kids'.
So now we've created child-friendly holidays for single parents, using all our experience of hosting houseparties and creating a friendly and fun atmosphere at our hand-picked hotels.
We take care of all the hassle, from flights to transfers, from hotel beds to dinners, plus sightseeing suggestions. All you have to do on your single parent holiday is pack your bags and bring the children!
Our Hosts
Your resident host makes sure that everything to do with your holiday runs smoothly, from meeting you at the airport to checking out your accommodation.
A holidays for single parents (.com) host is also an ice-breaker, a walking encyclopaedia, a conversation-starter, a wine-waiter, an entertainer and - perhaps above all - a friend when needed.
She (or he) is usually ‘on duty’ six days during a week’s holiday. On those days she is highly visible at breakfast and dinner and can usually be tracked down at other times, if needed.
Your host will also happily book activities, arrange excursions or car hire. But if all you want to do is relax by the pool while the kids splash around, then you can do just that! Please note that our hosts are not qualified child minders and do not supervise children.

You can ask our small and friendly team anything you like. Everyone in the office has visited at least one of our hotels and as well as single travellers, our team includes parents!

We can make recommendations about the right destination and accommodation for your budget and your children’s ages. We can also explore regional flight options, because - if it flies from your local airport - we can book it.

When you land, our host will welcome your family with a soft drink before transferring you direct to the hotel. Once everyone is settled in, we’ll get together for a welcome meeting – and the holiday starts!
Their Time
Many of our hotels have a supervised children’s club or crèche and day-time activities are arranged in conjunction with qualified hotel staff. This means your children can enjoy ‘their time’ – time to make friends with other children in our group and to play with other children staying at the hotel.
Our house parties in Turkey and on the Greek island of Rhodes are run by Friendship Travel and the single parent holiday weeks set aside for holidaysforsingleparents.com are exclusively for single parents and children. Although there is no supervised children's club your family can relax in a self-contained and secure environment, chilling out by the pool with the other single parents on holiday.
You Time
If you are in search of quality ‘you time' then you may prefer to opt for a single parent holiday with a supervised children's club so that you can head for the spa, learn to scuba dive or simply enjoy some time to yourself.
Our larger hotels offer plenty of facilities, a choice of swimming pools and lounge areas so that you can make time for yourself, safe in the knowledge that your children are having fun with others and being well-looked after by qualified staff.
Some hotels even provide early dinners for young children, with a nanny to supervise bed-time, allowing you to join other parents for an evening of grown-up food, wine and conversation.
